About Hanh
I am a licensed mental health therapist with a diverse background spanning private practice, community, academic, governmental, nonprofit, and corporate settings. I work with individuals, couples, families, and communities navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and complex cultural, relational, and life transitions. My approach is integrative and tailored to each person, drawing from evidence-based practices while remaining culturally informed, trauma sensitive, and spiritually adaptive. I strive to meet clients where they are, honoring their unique experiences, values, and identities.
Using an eclectic approach, I integrate techniques from various modalities—including person-centered/humanistic, solution-focused, multicultural, narrative, structural, trauma-informed care, feedback-informed treatment, interpersonal, and grief therapy—to enhance CBT. This allows me to address clients’ needs and provide effective, individualized care.
Through a collaborative process, I help clients gain insight, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change—so they can heal, grow, and thrive.

"As a refugee from Vietnam who has experienced profound hardship, I bring a deep, personal understanding of resilience, trauma, and the healing process."

Patience
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
During our first session, I review informed consent, confidentiality and its limits, and your rights as a client. I also take time to understand your needs, concerns, and challenges, helping to develop a clear picture of what you’re experiencing and the areas we can focus on in therapy. I will explain how therapy works, discuss expectations, and collaborate with you to establish meaningful goals, including how we will measure progress and determine whether therapy is effective. We will also discuss the therapeutic relationship, your benefits, and your options—including making changes when needed, such as adjusting treatment or transitioning to another provider. My goal is to create a supportive, transparent process that helps you move toward growth, positive change, and ultimately, graduation from therapy.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Personal traumas hence resilience and growth.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I meet clients where they are, honoring their experiences and challenges. Through a collaborative and compassionate process, I help clients develop insight, strengthen resilience, and create lasting change—so they heal and thrive.
