About Elizabeth

I spent many years working in the entertainment industry before returning to school to pursue my passion for helping others and creating a safe, supportive space where people can feel heard, understood, and accepted. I am currently an ACSW working toward licensure, with training in trauma-informed care, substance abuse, and Motivational Interviewing. I work with a wide range of clients, particularly individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, and self-esteem challenges, and many are seeking support in understanding themselves more deeply, improving coping skills, building healthier relationships, and feeling more grounded in their daily lives.

My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and collaborative. I utilize Motivational Interviewing and person-centered techniques to help clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and feel more empowered in their lives. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, and emotional challenges while creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for healing and growth.

Healing and growth can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate it alone. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, and accepted for who they are. If you are ready to begin your journey toward healing, self-understanding, and personal growth, I would be honored to support you along the way.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a social worker because I have always been drawn to helping people feel seen, supported, and understood. After spending many years working in the entertainment industry, I realized I wanted to pursue work that felt more meaningful and centered around connection, advocacy, and healing. I went back to school with the goal of creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where people could be themselves and work through life’s challenges without feeling alone. I understand how overwhelming trauma, anxiety, stress, and life transitions can feel, and I believe therapy can be a powerful place for growth, self-discovery, and healing. Being able to support people as they build insight, confidence, and healthier coping skills is what continues to inspire me in my work as a social worker.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with clients who are looking for a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space to better understand themselves and navigate life’s challenges. I often work with individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, low self-esteem, substance use challenges, and life transitions. I work well with clients who may feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward, as well as those who may have difficulty opening up or expressing vulnerability. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable showing up as their authentic selves while building coping skills, insight, confidence, and emotional resilience.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish all clients knew that healing is not about being “perfect” or having everything figured out. Growth can be uncomfortable at times, and progress is not always linear, but that does not mean you are failing. Therapy is a space where you do not have to hide parts of yourself or face challenges alone. Even small steps toward understanding yourself, expressing emotions, and asking for support can create meaningful change over time.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In the first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where we begin getting to know each other. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what you are hoping to work on, and any immediate concerns or goals you may have. I may also ask questions about your background and current life circumstances to better understand your experiences and what support may be most helpful. In the early stages of therapy, the focus is on building a trusting relationship, establishing goals together, and creating a sense of safety in the therapeutic space. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and I will support you in identifying coping strategies, increasing insight, and beginning to work through the challenges you are facing.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is informed by my personal values of compassion, authenticity, and nonjudgment. Having spent many years working in the entertainment industry before becoming a social worker, I gained a deep understanding of how important it is for people to feel seen beyond their roles, achievements, or external appearances. That experience shaped my commitment to creating a space where clients can show up as their full, authentic selves. I also value curiosity, empathy, and meeting people where they are. I believe every person has a unique story, and I approach therapy with respect for each individual’s lived experience. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens within a safe, trusting relationship where clients feel accepted, supported, and empowered to grow at their own pace.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I tailor therapy by meeting each client where they are and recognizing that no two people experience challenges in the same way. I take a collaborative, person-centered approach, working together to identify goals that feel meaningful and realistic for each individual. I draw from trauma-informed care, Motivational Interviewing, and supportive, strengths-based techniques to adapt to each client’s needs, pace, and comfort level. Some clients may need a focus on stabilization and coping skills, while others may be ready to explore deeper emotional processing and insight. I remain flexible in my approach, checking in regularly to ensure that the work we are doing continues to feel helpful, relevant, and supportive of each client’s growth and healing.
