Hi, I’m Anna Mansour, ASW, and a therapist who believes in creating a warm, compassionate, and affirming space for clients to feel seen and supported. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating grief and loss, trauma, identity development, emotional regulation, and life transitions. My approach incorporates evidence-based practices alongside play, art, and creative expression to help clients process difficult experiences, build coping skills, and feel more empowered in their lives.
I offer a compassionate, creative approach that allows clients to explore difficult emotions in ways that feel natural and meaningful. Through art, play, conversation, and reflection, I help clients process grief and loss, make meaning of their experiences, and develop tools for navigating change while honoring their individual journey.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. I’m here to meet you where you are, without judgment, and support you along the way. When you’re ready, I invite you to schedule an appointment.

"I believe creativity can give us a language for experiences that are sometimes too difficult to put into words, and that everyone deserves a space where they feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted as they navigate grief, loss, and healing. I strive to create a compassionate and supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences through conversation, creativity, and self-expression while discovering their own path toward healing."
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My own experiences with grief and loss, being an adoptee, and growing up as a Middle Eastern woman in a family with diverse experiences of identity and relationships have shaped my desire to support others through the experiences that make us who we are. Through my own journey, I found my path toward healing and learned the importance of having a safe, compassionate space to explore grief, identity, and the experiences we carry. I’ve always loved children and have over five years of experience supporting children as both a teacher and clinician, while also working with teens and adults. As a naturally creative person, I’m drawn to art, play, and self-expression as meaningful ways to connect and explore identity. I strive to practice with unconditional positive regard, meeting each client with warmth, curiosity, and acceptance while honoring their unique story and journey.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with children, teens, and adults who are navigating grief and loss, identity exploration, life transitions, or emotional challenges. I especially enjoy working with clients exploring their identity, including LGBTQ+ clients, and those who benefit from creative approaches such as art, play, and selfexpression. I strive to provide a warm, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where each person feels safe to explore who they are and what they are experiencing.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish every client knew that simply showing up is one of the most important parts of the healing process. You don’t have to have everything figured out or know exactly what you need from therapy. Healing isn’t linear, and progress can look different for everyone. Coming as you are, being open to the process, and taking small steps forward can make a meaningful difference.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, I’ll focus on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and creating a space where you feel comfortable being yourself. We’ll talk about your goals, experiences, and what you hope to gain from therapy, while beginning to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. Early sessions are collaborative and paced around your needs—we’ll work together to understand what feels most helpful and develop an approach that supports your growth and healing.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is grounded in the belief that every person has a unique story, and that feeling genuinely seen and accepted can be an important part of healing. My experiences with grief and loss, adoption, identity, and growing up as a Middle Eastern woman have given me a deep appreciation for the complexity of our individual stories. I’m also a naturally creative person and bring curiosity, openness, and a love of art and self-expression into my work. Above all, I value authenticity, compassion, unconditional positive regard, and meeting people exactly where they are.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I believe therapy should be as unique as the person sitting across from me. I take time to understand each client’s personality, experiences, culture, identity, strengths, and goals, and I adjust my approach accordingly. I may incorporate conversation, art, play, creativity, mindfulness, or other therapeutic tools depending on what feels most meaningful and effective. I collaborate with clients throughout the process and remain flexible as their needs and goals evolve.
