About Amber
I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker with 14 years of experience in the mental health field. In my practice, I integrate professional expertise and lived experience to build authentic connections with clients. I take a client-centered and strength-based approach, creating individualized treatment plans that are practical and effective. I provide structured interventions, clear explanations of psychological concepts, and coping strategies such as reframing negative thoughts. My goal is always to empower clients with tools they can use immediately and independently.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Massachusetts, where I gained a strong foundation in evidence-based practices. My training allows me to draw from therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy to provide effective, compassionate care.
Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, but I want clients to feel reassured that they will never face their journey alone. It takes tremendous courage to reach out, and I honor that trust by offering a safe, supportive space where clients are seen, heard, and understood. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside each client as they work toward healing.

"As someone who has experienced trauma and loss over the span of my life, I have an innate ability to connect with my clients and understand how painful these events can be. I offer a safe and supportive space to help you make important and meaningful changes."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
After suffering significant loss as an adolescent I grew up with a desire to support those who had similar experiences. I have a passion for helping and empowering others. A key factor in working in this capacity is supporting those struggling in silence. The greatest reward is supporting my clients meet their personal and mental health goals.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I consider myself a well-rounded clinician and I am able to work with individuals of all different backgrounds, ethnicities, and walks of life. My best work is done when the client is engaged and understand the clinician-client relationship is a collaborative process and attendance is vital to ensure we are meeting your needs/goals.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I want all clients to know is therapy is a process and you will always have someone in your corner in your work with me.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect a mutual introduction for their first session. This is an opportunity for me to get to know you, as well as you getting to know me. I want you to feel comfortable and confident that you have selected a clinician that will support you in meeting your mental health goals.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Every individual is their own person. I support my clients in identifying their current concerns, strengths, any previous diagnosis, and what are their goals. We then develop a treatment plan together, that is reviewed regularly and can be adjusted as needed.
