About Kimberly
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) currently accepting new clients in person at the Phoenix Thriveworks location, as well as virtually throughout Arizona, Ohio, and Minnesota. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I work with individuals and couples and some of my specialties are anxiety, depression, affair recovery, chronic illness, and women's issues.
I work with both individuals and couples, providing a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for growth and healing. My therapeutic approach integrates a range of evidence-based modalities, including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
With warmth and compassion, I tailor my work to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. Whether helping individuals navigate personal challenges exposed from trauma history, or supporting couples in deepening their connection, I focus on addressing root causes, fostering empowerment, and guiding clients toward lasting emotional wellbeing

"As a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in both medical and mental health care, I recognize the unique challenges individuals and couples face every day. Whether you are navigating personal struggles, relationship concerns, or life transitions, I strive to provide a supportive and compassionate space where we can work together to build on your strengths, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful growth, healing, and connection."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor after I spent time in the medical field and realized the patients needed counseling just as much as they needed a doctor.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adults from ages 18-45 and 60+.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish clients knew that sometimes progress in therapy isn't always a straight line and sometimes taking the slower route is healthier for their emotions.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect the first session to be an information gathering phase and the beginning stages of building rapport with them. In the early stages of therapy we will be having weekly sessions if possible and working toward agreed upon goals.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
When choosing therapies for a client I consider what kind of treatment the client has had before and if it was successful. I also consider what their temperament is and what their goals are.
