Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Innately, I also been a good listener and helper. Therefore, I decided to lean on my grace gifts and pursue formal training and credentials to become a counselor. My passion to empower and assist people with navigating life is a true passion.
What types of clients do you work best with?
People, couples and families who need an advocate and helper to guide them through unpredictable and unforeseen life events.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
The healing process is different for everyone, but therapy is an invaluable tool for clarity and stability in life.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
I will take my time to get to know clients in a collaborative, empowering and affirming manner. We will determine what brought them to therapy and prioritize goals to maximize grace and achievement.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I do not lean on a diagnosis to guide my practice, Instead, I value each person, their experiences and perspective.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I allow each client to guide our weekly interactions, while holding them accountable and challenging them to get their thoughts and actions to align.
