About Patrick
I've worked in mental health for almost 20 years. I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor's in Psychology and earned a Master's in Professional Counseling from Lipscomb University. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience providing individual and family counseling in Tennessee and Alabama. I work with clients dealing with life changes, and self-doubt. Common challenges include anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, and past trauma. Client goals typically involve finding emotional balance, building healthy boundaries, and improving communication to achieve personal clarity.
Clients can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space to share feelings. You'll learn practical tools to change negative thought patterns, cope with daily stress and life changes, and improve relationships. Sessions include active listening, clear practice steps, and honest feedback to track your growth.
Taking the first step takes courage. Your feelings are valid, you don't have to carry this alone, and healing is entirely possible. You deserve a nonjudgmental space where your voice is heard and experiences are honored. Together we can work through life's challenges, build your resilience and create a fulfilling path forward.

"As a devoted counselor with nearly two decades of experience, I will approach our work together through a compassionate, collaborative lens where your unique narrative is honored and your inner strength is actively cultivated to guide your healing journey."
Get to know Patrick
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor to guide others toward healing, and make a meaningful difference.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients that value good communication, and are open to feedback.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Progress in therapy is not a result of the here and now, but rather small steps achieved over time. Also, work towards therapy goals happens outside the sessions as well.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
The client will work with the counselor to determine if the working relationship feels safe, comfortable, and right for them. The client can expect to understand the rules and boundaries of the therapeutic relationship. The client will complete an intake interview and identify goals for the therapeutic process.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Core guiding principals that inform my practice as a provider include showing the client empathy and respect, safety and privacy, and evidence-based support.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therpay to meet each client's unique needs by completing an in-depth intake assessment, shared objectives with clients, and aquiring continuous feedback from the client.
