About Temiloluwa
I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 9 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adolescents and adults. I work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, and life stressors, including navigating major transitions and emotional overwhelm, helping them build practical coping skills and greater self-awareness.
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Northern Kentucky University. I use a collaborative, individualized approach that integrates evidence-based therapies, psychoeducation, and medication management when appropriate.
I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore challenges, strengthen coping strategies, and work toward emotional balance. Together, we will focus on your goals and strengths so you feel understood, empowered, and ready to take meaningful steps toward improved mental wellness.
"I bring warmth, cultural humility, and a grounded, nonjudgmental approach to care, helping clients feel seen, safe, and supported as they work toward emotional balance and lasting change."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a psychiatric provider because I am passionate about helping people navigate mental health challenges and find clarity, balance, and hope in their lives. I’ve seen how compassionate, evidence-based care can empower clients to understand themselves better, develop practical coping skills, and make meaningful progress toward their goals. Being able to walk alongside clients during difficult moments and celebrate their growth is deeply rewarding and motivates me every day.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adolescents and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, or the effects of trauma. I enjoy supporting clients who are motivated to understand themselves better, build practical coping skills, and make meaningful changes in their daily lives. My approach is collaborative, empathetic, and tailored to each person’s unique strengths and goals.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish all clients knew that healing is a journey, not a quick fix. Progress often comes in small, steady steps, and it’s normal to have ups and downs along the way. Therapy works best when you give yourself patience, stay curious about your thoughts and feelings, and engage actively in the process—change is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session, clients can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space in which we review their history, current challenges, and therapy goals. We’ll discuss symptoms, daily functioning, and any previous treatment, and I’ll explain my approach so we can build a collaborative plan. In the early stages, we focus on understanding patterns, identifying priorities, and developing practical coping strategies while establishing trust and a strong therapeutic relationship.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is informed by a deep value for empathy, respect, and cultural humility. I believe that everyone deserves to be heard, validated, and supported in their unique journey. Personal experiences witnessing the impact of mental health challenges in my own community have strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers clients to understand themselves, build coping skills, and create meaningful change in their lives.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by first understanding each client’s goals, strengths, challenges, and personal values. I combine evidence-based approaches with practical coping strategies, adjusting techniques, and interventions to fit their learning style, lifestyle, and preferences. Together, we create a plan that is flexible, collaborative, and focused on real-world progress, helping clients feel understood, supported, and empowered.
