What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that healing is not a straight line, and progress is not measured by perfection. Throughout my years working in mental health, crisis stabilization, and healthcare, I have seen that meaningful change often happens through small, consistent steps. Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Whether you're managing a mental health condition, recovering from a crisis, or navigating life's challenges, you don't have to have all the answers before starting. Therapy and treatment provide a safe space to learn, grow, and develop the tools needed to move forward with greater confidence and resilience.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgmentfree environment where we take time to discuss their concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. I conduct a comprehensive psychiatric assessment to gain a clear understanding of each client's unique needs and develop an individualized treatment plan. During the early stages of treatment, we focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship, identifying strengths and challenges, and creating practical strategies to support progress. Depending on a client's needs, this may include medication management, psychotherapy, education about mental health conditions, and coordination with other healthcare providers. My goal is to ensure that clients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their care as we work together toward improved mental wellness and lasting change.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor treatment by taking the time to understand each client's unique experiences, symptoms, strengths, goals, and overall health needs. Through comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing collaboration, I develop individualized treatment plans that may include psychotherapy, medication management, education, and coordination with other healthcare providers when appropriate. My background in outpatient psychiatry, crisis stabilization, and care coordination has taught me that there is no one-sizefits-all approach to mental health care. I continuously monitor progress, adjust treatment strategies as needed, and work collaboratively with clients to ensure they feel heard, supported, and actively involved in their care. My goal is to provide personalized, evidencebased treatment that helps clients achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in their well-being.
