About Kaitlin
I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. I believe that healing begins with feeling safe. My approach is holistic, meaning I consider the whole person—mind, body, and life circumstances—when developing a treatment plan.
I have experience treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, addiction, and maternal mental health concerns. I work collaboratively with clients, empowering them to take an active role in their care while providing guidance, education, and evidence-based treatment options.
Maybe you’ve been pushing through stress, anxiety, or emotional pain, telling yourself it will pass. Maybe you’re used to being the strong one for everyone else. But even the strongest people need a space where they can be heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

"As a woman who has experienced trauma and difficult life situations I have an authentic and empathic understanding of how individuals are impacted by life circumstances and how to assist an individual in building life skills to empower themselves once again."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor/psychiatric provider because I recognized the significant need for compassionate mental health support and the stigma that often prevents individuals from seeking help. I wanted to be part of creating positive change by providing support, promoting understanding, and helping others improve their mental wellbeing and quality of life.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that seeking therapy or support for mental health is not a sign of weakness, disability, or something to be ashamed of. Prioritizing mental health is an important part of overall wellbeing, and asking for help demonstrates strength, selfawareness, and courage. Healing is a process, and everyone deserves support, compassion, and the opportunity to grow and thrive.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect a caring, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment in their first session with me. My goal is to provide a listening ear and create a space where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace. In the early stages of therapy, I focus on getting to know each client, understanding their unique needs and goals, and meeting them where they are in their journey. Together, we work to build trust, identify areas of concern, and create a path toward healing, growth, and overall well-being.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy to each client by meeting them where they are and taking the time to truly get to know them, their experiences, and their individual goals. I understand that every person’s journey is different, and I recognize that asking for help is often the biggest and most difficult first step. By creating a supportive and nonjudgmental environment, I can develop an approach that fits each client’s unique needs and helps them feel comfortable, understood, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.
