About Bethelhem
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 7 years of experience supporting individuals on their mental health journeys. I have worked in both psychiatric hospital and outpatient clinic settings, providing compassionate care to patients with diverse needs. My background in mental health nursing has equipped me with a strong understanding of complex behavioral health conditions, and I strive to help clients navigate anxiety, depression, and adjustment challenges while promoting emotional resilience and overall wellness.
I earned my Master’s in Nursing from Walden University. My approach is rooted in trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing, allowing clients to explore their experiences in a supportive, goal-oriented environment. I empower individuals through empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based strategies that promote self-awareness and sustainable progress.
My commitment is to providing holistic, patient-centered support that empowers you to achieve mental and emotional balance. I believe in meeting each client where they are and helping them build the tools and insight needed to create lasting change and improved well-being.

"I want to be the support person you need as you navigate a challenging time in your life."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My transition to a PMHNP was driven by first-hand experience in nursing, where I witnessed the positive impact of access to mental health care on improving overall patient prognosis and well-being.
What types of clients do you work best with?
With individuals who are navigating challenging times related to adjustment issues, anxiety, or depression.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
We all encounter periods in our lives where we find things genuinely difficult regardless of our background or strength. This is a universal human experience, not a personal failure. There is immense strength and courage in recognizing you need help, and it is perfectly okay to lean on a trained professional to support your healing and promote your wellness. You don't have to wait until you're at a breaking point; seeking support is a powerful act of self-care.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
On the first session, we will focus on getting to know you and your background by reviewing general, medical, and mental health history; this information will then be used to develop your individualized treatment plan and set the tone for our professional relationship.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I believe in the resilience of the human spirit. This guides me to approach every client with empathy, respect, and a commitment to helping them tap into their own strengths to facilitate healing and wellness.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I collaborate with the client to define their personal goals, values, and strengths and continuously assess and adjust the treatment plan based on the client’s progress, feedback, and emerging needs.
Does CLINICIAN prescribe medications effective for the treatment of ADHD?
