About Tumininu
I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 5 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. I work primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, sleep concerns, psychotic disorders, and life-transition stress. My approach is collaborative and patient-centered, with a focus on helping clients gain clarity, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
I earned my master’s degree in nursing from Walden University. My clinical approach is evidence-based and tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. I emphasize thoughtful assessment, clear treatment planning, and structured, outcome-driven strategies to support symptom reduction, emotional insight, and resilience.
Starting mental health care can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate it alone. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. Together, we will work toward helping you feel more grounded, supported, and confident as you move forward.

"I bring warmth, curiosity, and evidence-based care to each session, fostering a collaborative space where clients feel truly understood and supported in meaningful change. "

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a psychiatric provider because I wanted to provide care that truly meets people where they are—helping them manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and life stressors in a safe and supportive way. I’ve seen how evidence-based treatment can transform lives, and I’m passionate about guiding clients through challenges toward lasting growth and resilience.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients across the lifespan who are motivated to make meaningful change and are seeking support navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, or stress related to life transitions. I particularly connect with clients who want a collaborative, structured, and evidence-based approach, and who are open to exploring their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a safe, nonjudgmental space. I also enjoy working with clients managing perinatal or postpartum mental health challenges, work-related stress, or burnout, helping them build resilience, coping skills, and clarity in their lives.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that healing is rarely a straight line—progress often comes in small steps, and setbacks don’t mean failure. Therapy is a safe space to explore, understand, and grow, and consistent effort, patience, and self-compassion are what lead to meaningful, lasting change.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In your first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you, understanding your current challenges, and exploring your goals for therapy. I’ll ask questions about your mental health history, daily life, and what’s most important to you right now. Together, we’ll begin identifying patterns, strengths, and areas for growth.
In the early stages of therapy, you can expect a collaborative and structured approach where we develop a personalized plan that may include coping strategies, skill-building, and supportive interventions. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to start making meaningful changes in your life.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is informed by a deep value for empathy, respect, and collaboration. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and resilience, and my approach is shaped by a commitment to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. Personal experiences witnessing the impact of mental health challenges on individuals and families have reinforced my dedication to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that meets clients where they are and supports meaningful, lasting change.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by first listening closely to each client’s story, goals, and challenges. I then combine evidence-based approaches with a flexible, collaborative style that fits their unique needs, personality, and circumstances. This may include skill-building, coping strategies, mindfulness, or psychoeducation, all adjusted over time based on progress and feedback. My goal is to create a plan that feels personalized, realistic, and supportive, so clients can make meaningful and lasting change
