I am a mental health nurse practitioner and board-certified (PMHNP-BC). I have over 11 years of nursing experience caring for and supporting patients across the lifespan. I received my bachelor's in nursing science from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona, and my master's degree at Walden University, Minneapolis, Minnesota. I also received my first nursing diploma certificate at St. Luke's Anglican School of Nursing, Wusasa Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized, focusing on each client's unique needs, strengths, and goals. I use evidence-based strategies to support clients with anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. Together, we work toward improving emotional well-being and building resilience.

You do not have to navigate life's challenges alone. I'm here to listen, support you without judgment, and help you move toward greater emotional well-being and a healthier, more fulfilling life. Take the next step toward feeling better and achieving your goals by scheduling an appointment. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a psychiatric provider because I have a strong passion for helping people navigate mental health challenges and improve their quality of life. I believe that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I am committed to providing compassionate, individualized care that addresses each person’s unique needs and goals. It is especially meaningful to me to help clients develop healthier coping skills, manage symptoms, build confidence, and move toward greater emotional stability and overall wellbeing.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with adults and adolescents who are experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, schizophrenia, mood changes, or other mental health concerns that affect their daily lives. I enjoy working with clients who are seeking understanding, support, and practical strategies to improve their emotional well-being and overall quality of life. I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and individualized approach, meeting each client where they are and working together toward meaningful progress.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

One thing I wish every client knew is that healing is a process, not a race. You do not have to have everything figured out before seeking help, and asking for support is a sign of strength, not weakness. Progress may happen gradually, with setbacks along the way, but every step toward understanding yourself, building healthy coping skills, and caring for your mental health matters. Therapy is a safe space where you can be heard, supported, and encouraged without judgment.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

During the first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and judgmentfree environment where we take time to understand their concerns, history, goals, and what they hope to achieve through treatment. We will work together to identify priorities and develop an individualized treatment approach that may include medication management, psychotherapy, or a combination of both. In the early stages of therapy, I focus on building trust and a strong therapeutic relationship while helping clients develop practical strategies to manage symptoms and improve their overall well-being. Progress takes time, and treatment will be adjusted as needed based on each client’s needs, preferences, and response to care.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is guided by compassion, empathy, respect, and the belief that every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported. I recognize that each individual’s experiences, challenges, strengths, and goals are unique, and I strive to provide care that is personalized and free from judgment. I value building trusting relationships with my clients and meeting them where they are in their journey. I believe in empowering clients to participate actively in their treatment, helping them develop confidence, resilience, and practical tools to support lasting mental health and wellbeing.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I tailor treatment to each client by taking time to understand their individual experiences, concerns, strengths, goals, and preferences. I recognize that there is no one-sizefits-all approach to mental health care, so I collaborate with each client to develop a personalized treatment plan that fits their needs. Throughout treatment, I regularly assess progress and adjust interventions as needed. My goal is to create a supportive, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and actively involved in their healing journey.
