As a versatile Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have decades of experience in psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and developing personalized treatment plans. Previously an owner of a private practice for 14 years, I learned to be prepared to treat all mental health issues with a variety of effective approaches, and always with compassion and empathy.
My approach to care is centered on empathy and genuine partnership. I strive to help you build your strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward well-being. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, or life's many challenges, I listen, understand your experiences, and develop a treatment plan that aligns with your needs.
My goal is not only to reduce symptoms but also to help you improve your overall quality of life and move toward the future you desire. I consider it a privilege to be part of your mental health journey and am committed to providing care with compassion, respect and hope.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Twenty plus years ago, I decided to become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in effort to provide exceptional care for the mind, body and spirit of patients who want help.
What types of clients do you work best with?
Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, mood disorders.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Every person's journey is unique and healing occurs at a different pace for everyone.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, I will hear your concerns and desires along with obtaining a thorough mental health evaluation. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that reflects your needs and priorities.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My experience as a single mother, a Navy nurse and as a private practice owner have played a role in my relaxed and comfortable approach to psychiatric care.

By understanding how you learnk, process information and engage best in therapy, I can incorporate evidencebased techniques with proven effectiveness that align with your individual style.
