About Shantise
I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 5 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals across diverse clinical settings. I specialize in supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and complex mental health needs. I am committed to delivering thoughtful, person-centered treatment that empowers clients to move toward healing and stability.
I earned my Master of Science in nursing from Chamberlain University, where I strengthened my skills in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention. My clinical approach integrates diagnostic expertise with collaborative treatment planning to ensure each client receives holistic, individualized care.
I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, valued, and equipped to grow. Together, we will build practical strategies that help you manage symptoms, improve daily functioning, and regain a sense of balance. I look forward to partnering with you and supporting your mental health journey.

"As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I create a warm, judgment-free space where I truly listen, honor your lived experiences, and work collaboratively to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered to heal."
Get to know Shantise
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose to become a PMHNP because I have always been drawn to understanding people on a deeper level and helping them navigate challenges that often go unseen.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work with a wide range of clients, but I find that I work well with individuals who value collaboration, are open to exploring their experiences, and are motivated to Mae meaningful changes to their mental health.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that healing is not a straight line, progress often happens in small steps which are normal part of the process.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect a calm welcoming space where we focus on getting to know one another. The initial session includes a comprehensive assessment to tailor a client centered treatment plan.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My clinical and life experiences have strengthened my belief in the power of resilience.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I individualize therapy by using holistic, patient-centered approach.
Does Shantise prescribe medications effective for the treatment of ADHD?
