Jessica Brown is a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 14 years of nursing experience in general and behavioral health care. She specializes in working with adolescents and adults facing anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. Jessica is committed to increasing access to care through telemedicine and provides compassionate, evidence-based treatment aimed at symptom relief, emotional stability, and long-term resilience.
Jessica earned her Master’s in Nursing from Clemson University. She uses a holistic, client-centered approach to support adolescents and adults. Her goal is to deliver empathetic, evidence-based care that promotes healing and sustainable mental wellness.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
She decided to become a psychiatric provider after witnessing the significant number of people struggling with mental health challenges, the shortage of available mental health providers, and the disparities in care within her community. Her goal is to help close these gaps by providing compassionate, accessible mental health services to those in need
What types of clients do you work with best?
She works best with adolescents and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. She particularly connects with clients who are open to building a collaborative, trusting relationship and are ready to engage in their healing journey. She also enjoys supporting individuals from underserved communities seeking compassionate, accessible care.

She is most excited to work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. She is especially passionate about supporting individuals from underserved communities and those who may be accessing mental health care for the first time, helping them feel empowered and supported in their journey.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
One thing she wishes all clients knew is that seeking help for mental health is a sign of strength, not weakness. Her goal is to educate and raise awareness about mental health within her community, working to reduce the stigma that often prevents individuals from seeking the care they need and deserve.

What inspires you?
She is inspired by her spiritual faith, her children, and the support of her close family, all of which keep her grounded and motivated in her work. Her passion for mental health care is also driven by personal experiences caring for individuals affected by mental health challenges, which fuels her dedication to helping others find hope, healing, and stability.

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where they are encouraged to share their concerns, goals, and personal history at their own pace. She takes time to listen, understand, and explain her approach, helping clients feel comfortable as they begin building a trusting, collaborative relationship focused on their care.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, and creating lasting memories with family and friends. She also values quiet moments of self-care, whether relaxing with a good documentary or spending meaningful time with her children, who keep her both grounded and inspired.

Outside of her professional role, she is deeply family-oriented and finds joy in spending quality time with her loved ones, which keeps her grounded and fuels her passion for helping others.
