"As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I strive to create a compassionate, judgmentfree space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to improve their mental health and achieve meaningful, lasting wellness."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I chose to become a psychiatric mental health provider because I believe mental health is an essential part of overall well-being. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, understand their mental health, and find hope through compassionate, individualized care. It is meaningful to me to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take steps toward healing and a healthier, more fulfilling life.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I enjoy working with individuals who are seeking support, understanding, and guidance as they navigate mental health challenges. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and other psychiatric conditions. I welcome individuals who are ready to explore their concerns, develop healthier coping strategies, improve emotional well-being, and work toward greater balance and stability in their lives.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I want every client to know that healing is a journey, not a race, and there is no single timeline for progress. Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out for support. With patience, compassion, and the right treatment approach, meaningful progress is possible, and you deserve care and understanding every step of the way.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

During our first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgmentfree environment where we take time to discuss your concerns, mental health history, symptoms, and personal goals. I want to understand your experiences and what matters most to you. Together, we will explore treatment options and develop an individualized plan that may include medication management, education, and ongoing support. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, heard, and involved in your care.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is guided by compassion, empathy, respect, and a commitment to treating each person as a whole individual. My nursing background and advanced education have strengthened my appreciation for the connection between mental and physical health. I believe every person deserves to feel heard, valued, and supported without judgment. I strive to build trusting relationships with my clients and provide thoughtful, individualized care that honors their unique experiences, strengths, values, and goals.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I recognize that every individual has a unique story, set of challenges, and personal goals. I take time to understand each client’s symptoms, history, preferences, and circumstances before developing an individualized treatment plan. I collaborate with clients to identify appropriate treatment options, which may include medication management, psychoeducation, coping strategies, and ongoing progress monitoring. I value open communication and adjust care as needs evolve, ensuring clients remain active participants in their mental health journey.
