About Atrevia
I am Atrevia Brown, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to providing evidence-based, compassionate psychiatric care. I typically partner with individuals navigating the heavy burdens of anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia, as well as insomnia—and those seeking clarity and stability while managing mood disorders. My clients are looking for a safe, non-judgmental space where they can build emotional resilience, balance their symptoms through thoughtful medication management, and move from getting by to truly thriving in their personal and professional lives.
My approach is rooted in integrative psychiatry—combining precise medication management with a deep focus on the mind-body connection. Rather than just treating symptoms, I look at the whole person: how lifestyle, environment, and biology intersect. When you work with me, you can expect a collaborative, transparent partnership where your voice leads.
Taking the first step toward mental wellness is an act of profound courage, and you don't have to carry that weight alone. No matter how overwhelming things feel right now, there is a path forward filled with hope and healing. I invite you to reach out and schedule a consultation so we can begin reclaiming your peace and building the life you envision.

"As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I combine my deep respect for the biological complexities of the brain with a compassionate, person-centered approach, ensuring you feel truly heard as we navigate your path toward mental wellness together."
Get to know Atrevia
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a psychiatric provider because I am deeply fascinated by the complexity of the human brain and driven by a calling to support individuals during their most vulnerable moments.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are looking for a holistic, collaborative partnership that values both biological treatment and their personal narrative.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish every client knew that healing isn't a linear climb, but a series of adjustments, and having symptoms doesn't mean you are broken, it means your brain and body are doing their best to protect you with the tools they currently have.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
You can expect a safe space where your story takes center stage as we combine a thorough diagnostic evaluation with a deep dive into your personal goals and history. In these early stages, our focus is on building a foundation of trust and clarity, ensuring you leave each appointment with a clear understanding of your treatment options and the feeling that you finally have a dedicated partner in your wellness.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is rooted in the deep-seated value of radical empathy, the belief that every behavior was once a survival strategy that deserves to be understood rather than just pathologized.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor our work by treating your biological profile and your personal narrative as equal partners in the healing process. Instead of a one-size-fits-all protocol, I use the initial sessions to map out how your unique neurobiology, lifestyle, and past experiences intersect.
