I’m Kenny Chrysostome, MSN, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of experience in nursing and behavioral healthcare. I provide compassionate, patient-centered, evidence-based psychiatric care, focusing on each person as an individual. I have experience in inpatient, outpatient, telehealth, correctional, and acute care settings, working with individuals across the lifespan, including adolescents, older adults, and individuals on the autism spectrum. I treat depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, psychotic disorders, trauma, substance use, and dual-diagnosis conditions.
I use a compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based approach that helps clients feel heard while developing practical tools for meaningful change. My areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, and life transitions, in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment that builds insight and well-being.
You don’t have to navigate difficult moments alone. I’m here to offer a safe, compassionate, judgment-free space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported as you work toward feeling better. Taking the first step can be hard, but meaningful change begins with it. I invite you to schedule an appointment and begin this journey toward healing.

"I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where people feel heard, understood, and empowered to take meaningful steps toward better mental health."
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Healing is not a straight line, and needing support does not mean you are weak or failing. Progress takes time, patience, and self-compassion. Therapy is a collaborative process, and even small steps forward matter. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out sometimes, simply being willing to start is the most important sleep.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where we take time to understand what brings you to therapy, your concerns, personal history, strengths, and goals. We’ll work together to identify what you would like to improve and begin developing a personalized plan that fits your needs. In the early stages of therapy, my focus is on building trust, establishing a strong therapeutic relationship, and providing practical strategies to help you manage symptoms and begin making meaningful progress. You can expect collaboration, compassion, and care at every step.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Clients can expect a thorough psychiatric evaluation, personalized medication management, clear communication, and a treatment plan based on their individual needs and goals. I take time to listen, answer questions, monitor progress, and make adjustments when needed to support safe and effective care.
