About Jennifer
I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 8 years of experience in mental health care. I work with individuals across the lifespan who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, substance use concerns, and other mood and behavioral conditions. Many of the people I support feel overwhelmed, stuck, or discouraged by their symptoms and are seeking greater emotional balance, clarity, and stability in their daily lives. My experience includes outpatient care, telehealth, inpatient settings, and substance use treatment programs.
I earned my Master of Science in nursing from West Chester University. I provide evidence-based medication management and use a holistic, biopsychosocial approach that considers biological, psychological, and social factors that influence mental health.
I strive to create a supportive, collaborative environment where you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your care. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan focused on symptom relief, improved coping skills, and meaningful progress toward long-term well-being.

"I truly believe that mental health matters every single day, and I am committed to providing compassionate, human-centered care that honors your experiences and supports your journey toward wellness."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner because mental health has had a profound impact on my own life and the lives of people I care about. Experiencing and witnessing the challenges that come with mental illness showed me how critical compassionate, knowledgeable support can be. I wanted to dedicate my career to helping others navigate these struggles, reduce stigma, and build meaningful, balanced lives. Being able to combine my clinical training with a humanistic, individualized approach allows me to meet clients where they are and empower them to make real, lasting progress.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, dissociative and trauma-related disorders, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders. I enjoy supporting individuals who are motivated to understand their symptoms, explore coping strategies, and work collaboratively toward meaningful improvements in their mental health and overall well-being.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that mental health is just as important as physical health, and healing often takes time and patience. Medication, therapy, and lifestyle changes can all work together, and progress is rarely instant—but with consistent support and individualized care, meaningful improvement is absolutely possible.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session and the early stages of care, clients can expect a welcoming and collaborative environment where we focus on building rapport and understanding your unique experiences. We will review your psychiatric history, diagnoses, and any previous treatments, discuss your goals for therapy and mental health, and explore the most effective treatment options — including medication management and psychotherapy. Together, we create a personalized plan that addresses your needs and sets the foundation for meaningful progress.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My personal experiences growing up around family and friends who struggled with mental illness inspired me to pursue a career in psychiatry from a young age. Witnessing the challenges they faced gave me a deep understanding of how mental health impacts daily life and instilled in me a strong commitment to providing compassionate, individualized care. These experiences continue to shape my humanistic approach and my dedication to supporting clients in their journey toward wellness.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor care to each client’s unique needs by taking a holistic, humanistic approach that considers their mental health history, life circumstances, physical health, and personal goals. I combine evidence-based psychiatric care, including medication management when appropriate, with collaborative treatment planning, ensuring that every strategy is individualized. By listening closely and adjusting treatment as we go, I help clients develop tools and support systems that truly fit their lives and promote meaningful, lasting progress.
