My name is Lesya Lambros. I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with ten years of experience in psychiatry—first as a psychiatric nurse and now as a PMHNP, across inpatient and outpatient settings. I specialize in working with adults navigating ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, sleep issues, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, and substance use. I believe seeking help takes courage, and that step is where healing begins. I use a patient-centered approach, blending clinical evidence with patients' treatment choices. My goal is to help ease patients' symptoms while supporting them in living up to their full potential.
My approach centers on a trusting, collaborative relationship with my patients, combining clinical education on evidence-based treatments with practical tools for growth. I use normalization techniques to reduce stigma and shame, and I help patients build coping skills and healthy habits, like regular exercise, which support mental health and recovery.
No matter how heavy things feel right now, true progress is made of small, steady choices. I invite you to schedule an appointment whenever you are ready to begin this journey in a safe, judgment-free space.

"My own life has taught me that no matter where you begin, growth is made of small, brave choices—and I am dedicated to providing a safe space where you can rebuild, one step at a time."
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My journey into psychiatry began a decade ago, starting as a psychiatric nurse before advancing to a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Over those ten years working across both inpatient and outpatient settings, I witnessed firsthand how deeply complex mental health struggles can impact a person's life. While I always valued nursing care, I wanted to step into a role where I could more deeply guide patients through treatment and recovery. Becoming a PMHNP was a natural extension of my commitment to helping adults not just manage symptoms, but truly reclaim their lives.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adults and adolescents navigating complex mental health concerns, such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, and substance use, who are looking for a true collaborative partner. I connect especially well with clients who may feel weighed down by stigma, past treatment fears, or the intimidation of the mental health system. My ideal clients are those who are ready for a safe, nonjudgmental space and are open to taking steady, manageable steps toward healing and lasting growth.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish every client knew that the healing process is never a straight line, and is built on small, steady choices, persistence, and a willingness to keep going, even on the hardest days.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space focused entirely on building a trusting and open relationship. In the early stages of treatment, we will collaborate on identifying clients' goals and developing an evidence-based treatment plan.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
As an immigrant who has navigated major life transitions, my practice is deeply informed by the belief that no matter how difficult the starting point, steady perseverance makes all the difference. I’ve learned firsthand that meaningful transformation doesn't happen overnight; it takes small steps, the motivation to change, and the courage to keep going, one small step at a time, toward lasting growth and purpose.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor care by starting with a deep understanding of each client's unique background, priorities, and goals. Because no two people are alike, I use a patient-centered model that honors client's personal treatment choices rather than a one-size-fitsall approach.
