About Provider

About Elizabeth

I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 15+ years of nursing experience supporting clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, and life stressors. I work with teens and adults, and my approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in creating a safe, culturally sensitive space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to work toward your goals. I focus on helping clients build stability and confidence.

I earned my master’s degree in nursing from Walden University. My approach includes evidence-based medication management along with cognitive behavioral strategies, dialectical behavior skills, and a calm, patient-centered style to guide treatment.

Reaching out for support is a brave step, and you deserve care that feels safe, steady, and compassionate. I’m here to listen, guide, and walk with you as you move toward healing. When you’re ready, I would be honored to support you on your path forward.

Get to know Elizabeth

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a psychiatric provider because I’m passionate about helping people feel seen, supported, and understood. Throughout my years in nursing, I witnessed how deeply emotional and mental struggles affect clients and their families, and I wanted to play a more meaningful role in their healing. Becoming a PMHNP allows me to combine compassionate listening with evidence-based care to help people regain stability, confidence, and hope.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with clients who are ready to explore their emotions, gain clarity, and take meaningful steps toward feeling better. I enjoy supporting teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, sleep issues, and life transitions. I connect deeply with clients who value compassion, honesty, and a collaborative approach.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish clients knew that healing isn’t about being perfect — it’s about showing up, even on the hard days. Mental health is a journey, not a race, and small steps can lead to powerful change.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where you can talk openly without judgment. I’ll take time to understand your concerns, your goals, and what you’ve been experiencing. Early on, we’ll work together to create a clear plan for support—so you know you’re not alone and you have a path forward.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is shaped by my belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. My years in nursing taught me the importance of compassion, patience, and truly listening to people’s stories. These values guide the way I show up for clients—meeting them with empathy, respect, and a genuine commitment to helping them heal and grow.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I tailor therapy by taking time to understand each person’s story, strengths, and goals. I look at the whole picture—emotional, physical, and environmental—and use evidence-based approaches that fit their needs. Together, we create a plan that feels supportive, realistic, and aligned with what they want to achieve.
