I chose to become a psychiatric provider because I care deeply about mental health and want to help people overcome challenges and achieve wellness. I am passionate about providing supportive and non-judgmental care, and I am committed to working with patients to find effective solutions that improve their lives.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients who are motivated to make positive changes in their lives and are open to exploring their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I appreciate working with individuals who are willing to be honest with themselves and take an active role in their mental health journey.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited to work with clients who are resilient, motivated, and eager to make meaningful changes in their lives. Specifically, I'm passionate about supporting individuals who are navigating significant life transitions, managing stress, or seeking to develop greater self-awareness and emotional regulation.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that it is okay to not be okay, and seeking help is a sign of strength. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I am committed to creating a safe, supportive space for you to explore your mental health journey. My goal is to empower you with the tools, strategies, and support you need to thrive.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose to work with Thriveworks because of its commitment to making mental health care more accessible and effective. Thriveworks' mission to provide high-quality, client-centered care aligns with my values as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I am excited to be part of a team that prioritizes flexibility, affordability, and personalized support, allowing me to focus on what matters most – helping clients achieve their mental health goals.
What inspires you?
I have always been deeply moved by the stories of individuals who confront immense challenges with unwavering determination. Witnessing people transform their struggles into opportunities for growth and healing reminds me of the incredible potential within each person, and it fuels my own passion for making a positive impact.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In your first session with me, you can expect a comprehensive and collaborative approach to understanding your mental health concerns. We will start with an initial evaluation, where I will ask questions to get to know you, your history, and your goals. This is also an opportunity for you to share your concerns and expectations. Together, we will work on identifying your strengths and challenges, and develop a personalized plan to address your needs. I will also take the time to answer any questions you may have and ensure you feel comfortable and supported throughout the process. My goal is to establish a strong foundation for our work together, and to empower you with the tools and strategies you need to achieve your mental health goals.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
You can expect a clearer understanding of your mental health condition, including potential causes and contributing factors. I anticipate your initial session and subsequent ones would provide you with more clarity, support and empowerment to actively participate in your care and make lifestyle changes that support mental health.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I do not endorse a "one glove fits all approach" as everyone is unique with their own challenges and experiences. Therefore, we will partner and develop a treatment plan to your unique needs and expectations. You will feel heard and understood in a non-judgmental and supportive environment.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Outside of work, you can find me trying new recipes, taking a hike or spending time with family and loved ones. I believe in achieving a healthy work-life balance, and I prioritize activities that bring me joy and help me recharge. Whether it's spending quality time with loved ones or pursuing personal passions, I am always looking for ways to nurture my mind, body, and spirit.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
One thing that defines me is my kindness and empathetic spirit. I believe in approaching life with a genuine desire to understand and support others, and I strive to spread kindness wherever I go. Whether it is through a listening ear, a helping hand, or a thoughtful gesture, I aim to make a positive impact on those around me. My empathetic spirit helps me connect with others on a deeper level, and I am passionate about building meaningful and long-term relationships.
