About Kenya

I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 3 years of experience providing comprehensive, evidence-based mental health care. I specialize in diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and individualized treatment planning for clients navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and other mental health concerns. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their healing journey.

I earned my Master of Science in nursing from Wilkes University. My clinical approach integrates medication management with psychoeducation and holistic, client-centered care. I utilize solution-focused and strength-based strategies to help clients build coping skills, improve daily functioning, and achieve meaningful personal growth.

Taking the first step toward prioritizing your mental health is both courageous and important. I am committed to partnering with you to develop a personalized plan that reflects your unique needs and goals. When you are ready, I welcome you to schedule an appointment so we can begin working toward lasting stability and well-being together.

Get to know Kenya

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

If there is one thing I wish all clients knew, it is that progress in therapy is rarely linear. There will be weeks of significant breakthrough followed by moments that feel like a plateau or even a setback. Please know that these fluctuations are a natural and necessary part of growth rather than a sign of failure.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

During the first few visits, we will continue to build a therapeutic foundation by exploring your current challenges and developing a collaborative treatment plan. My goal is to provide a safe space where you feel heard and understood as we begin identifying the strategies and tools that will be most effective for your growth.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

During our initial visits, I conduct a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment to understand the specific biological, psychological, and social factors impacting a client's well-being. This allows me to integrate evidence-based modalities—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing—in a way that aligns with the client’s personal goals, cultural background, and readiness for change.
