I take a holistic, culturally responsive approach, recognizing that emotional well being is shaped by our physical health, life experiences, relationships, and cultural backgrounds. Together, we develop personalized treatment plans that honor your values, build resilience, and support lasting mental wellness.
I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. My treatment approach combines evidence-based medication management with therapeutic support, empowering clients to better understand their mental health and make meaningful, lasting changes.
Change is possible, and you don't have to face life's challenges by yourself. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where you feel respected, understood, and empowered to grow. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward greater well being.

Get to know Charity
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to became a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner because I wanted to help people find hope and healing during some of the most challenging times in their lives. I believe that mental health care is most effective when people feel genuinely heard, respected, and involved in their treatment decisions.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adolescents and adults who are ready to better understand their mental health and take an active role in their treatment plan and who value open communication and are motivated to make positive changes. I also enjoy supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, traumarelated concerns, ADHD, stress, and life transitions.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish every client knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process is that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Healing is rarely a straight path, and meaningful progress doesn't always happen overnight. There may be setbacks along the way, but each step forward—no matter how small—matters. I also want clients to know that treatment is a partnership. Whether we're discussing medication, lifestyle changes, or coping strategies, their voice, experiences, and goals are an essential part of the process. My role is to provide guidance, education, and evidencebased care while working collaboratively with them to find what works best for their unique needs.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the early stages of treatment, we'll work together to develop a personalized plan that may include medication management, therapeutic strategies, and practical lifestyle recommendations, depending on your needs and goals. I believe in open communication and shared decision-making, so you'll always be an active participant in your care. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and confident in the path we're building together.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I recognize that mental health is influenced by many factors, including physical health, relationships, culture, life experiences, and daily stressors. This perspective has shaped my holistic approach to care, where I look beyond symptoms to understand the whole person. I believe that the strongest therapeutic relationships are built on trust, open communication, and collaboration, and I am committed to partnering with each client to develop a treatment plan that reflects their unique goals, values, and strengths.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
As a PMHNP, I tailor treatment by combining evidence-based medication management with education, supportive therapy, and practical coping strategies when appropriate. I regularly check in on your progress, listen to your feedback, and adjust the treatment plan as your needs evolve. My goal is to provide care that is collaborative, flexible, and centered on helping you achieve lasting improvements in your mental health and overall well-being.
