Get to know Olufadeke

Why did you decide to become a psychiatric provider?

I fell in love with psychiatry because I see that mental health really embodies a person as a whole. Seeing the improvement with clients and being able to be an aid with their functionality in life is amazing. I saw a big gap with access to care and empathize with clients who can't get mental health treatment and/or not get mental health treatment because of the continued stigma.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

Clients should prioritize their mental health and take their well-being seriously just like a routine or yearly medical check-up.

What inspires you?

My family, loved ones, and my profession.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?

I have an accent- :) I'm warm. kind, and attentive.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I love to travel by road. I love to cook and clean.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

My calmness.
