About Rony

I’m Dr. Rony Michel, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, sleep difficulties, attention concerns, and substance use challenges. My clients are often seeking greater stability, improved daily functioning, and a better quality of life. Together, we develop a personalized treatment plan that supports meaningful and lasting progress.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and free of judgment. I take time to listen, understand the whole person, and create an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management and supportive therapy. Clients can expect practical guidance, open communication, and care focused on building stability and lasting progress.

You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. I’m here to listen, support you without judgment, and help you move toward the life you want. When you’re ready, I invite you to schedule an appointment and take the next step toward feeling better.

Get to know Rony

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a psychiatric provider because I wanted to help people feel heard, understood, and supported during some of life’s most difficult moments. Mental health can affect every part of a person’s life, yet many people struggle to find compassionate, judgment-free care. I value building trusting relationships and helping clients gain stability, improve their daily functioning, and feel hopeful about their future.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with adolescents and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, ADHD, sleep difficulties, or substance use concerns. I connect well with clients who want a supportive, judgment-free environment and are ready to work collaboratively toward greater stability, healthier coping skills, and an improved quality of life.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish every client knew that healing is not always a straight path, and progress can look different for everyone. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Even small steps matter, and with the right support, patience, and treatment plan, meaningful change is possible.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

During our first session, I will take time to learn about you, your concerns, symptoms, history, current medications, and treatment goals. You can expect a welcoming, judgment-free conversation where you feel heard and respected. Together, we will discuss your options and develop a personalized plan, which may include medication management, supportive therapy, and practical coping strategies.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is guided by compassion, respect, honesty, and the belief that every person deserves to feel heard and treated with dignity. I understand that life experiences, culture, relationships, and environment can all affect mental health. I meet clients where they are, without judgment, and work with them to create realistic treatment plans that reflect their individual needs, values, and goals.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I tailor care by taking time to understand each client’s symptoms, experiences, culture, strengths, preferences, and goals. Rather than using a onesize-fits-all approach, I collaborate with each client to create a practical treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, education, and coping strategies. We regularly review progress and adjust the plan as needed.
