About Patricia
I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 5 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals across the lifespan. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, insomnia, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders. My approach centers on supporting stability, wellness, and improved quality of life through thoughtful, individualized care.
I earned my master’s degree in nursing from Purdue University Global. My clinical work includes conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, reviewing health histories, and developing personalized treatment plans. I prioritize patient education, collaboration, and ongoing assessment to ensure care remains effective and responsive to each person’s needs.
I understand that managing mental health concerns can feel overwhelming, and you do not have to do it alone. I focus on building strong therapeutic relationships, openly discussing treatment options, and adjusting care as needed. If you are ready to take the next step, I invite you to schedule an appointment so we can work together toward long-term wellness.

"As a woman of color, I understand how unfairness and stigma surrounding mental health can create barriers to care for vulnerable populations. I am here to help reduce those barriers and improve access to compassionate, equitable mental health care."

One important thing to understand about therapy and the mental health healing process is that it is a gradual journey that requires ongoing collaboration, commitment, and active participation from both the patient and the provider

Patients should expect initial sessions to include rapport building, review of confidentiality and its importance, development of trust, comprehensive information gathering to guide treatment, and collaborative goal setting with realistic expectations.

Values such as treating patients with respect, practicing with integrity, and maintaining cultural sensitivity toward both patients and caregivers are central to my practice as a PMHNP provider.

When creating a care plan, I consider each client’s social, cultural, and environmental context and work collaboratively to incorporate their values, beliefs, and lifestyle into the treatment approach.
