Why did you decide to become a psychiatric provider?
I felt that I understood and could help the most in the mental health population the most, I've always had a passion to make a real change because I feel there is a still an unfair negative stereotype towards this population. I'm a caregiver to a special need son and I know the struggles.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited to work with all clients and to help make a difference in their mental health, self-esteem, and overall confidence
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that mental health concerns are nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about. We all go through struggles in life, some mental, some physical, and some emotional. I'd like them to know that reaching out and getting help takes a lot of courage and is the first step in taking control of their mental health.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

What inspires you?
Making a difference in the lives of people with mental illness, reducing the stigma of mental health.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
I place high importance on ensuring that the client is fully involved in formulating their treatment plan. Your first session will focus on performing a thorough psychiatric evaluation where I learn about you and work with you to create a plan that fits your needs. At the end of your session, you will have a clear understanding of any diagnoses made, treatment plan, treatment benefits and alternatives to treatment if indicated
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
I understand starting therapy or medications can be a difficult decision. I believe myself to be down to earth and approachable however and will do my best to make the transition as comfortable as possible.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I enjoy traveling to different places with my family.
