Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to support and treat those struggling with mental health. I am passionate about empowering individuals through personalized treatment, helping them regain control, find hope, and become the best version of themselves. Everyone deserves compassionate care, and I strive to make a meaningful difference in their journey to wellness.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients who are open to growth and willing to actively participate in their mental health journey. Whether facing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, or life transitions, I tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs. I enjoy working with those who seek a balanced approach, combining medication management with lifestyle changes, self-care, and holistic strategies for lasting well-being.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I’m most excited to work with clients who are motivated to make meaningful changes in their lives and are open to a collaborative approach to their mental health. Whether they’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, I enjoy supporting individuals who are ready to embrace new strategies for well-being and personal growth. It’s fulfilling to guide clients toward becoming the best versions of themselves, combining both traditional and holistic approaches to care.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that we have all struggled in some way, and seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. No matter where you are on your journey, it's okay to ask for support. You are not alone, and with the right care and mindset, healing and growth are absolutely possible.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose to practice at Thriveworks because of its strong commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care in a supportive, client-centered environment. Thriveworks values a holistic approach to mental health, which aligns with my belief in treating the whole person, not just symptoms. The collaborative atmosphere allows me to work with a diverse team of professionals, ensuring that clients receive well-rounded care and the tools they need to thrive.
What inspires you?
I’m inspired by the resilience and strength that people show when facing mental health challenges. Seeing clients make progress, no matter how small, and knowing that I played a part in their journey toward healing is incredibly rewarding. I’m also inspired by the potential for growth and change that exists within every person, and the opportunity to help them tap into that to become the best versions of themselves.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In the first session, clients can expect a thorough assessment where I’ll take the time to understand their unique history, current challenges, and goals for treatment. We’ll discuss any symptoms they’re experiencing, explore previous treatments, and I’ll explain how medication management can support their mental health journey. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan that may include medication recommendations and holistic strategies, all within a supportive and collaborative environment. My goal is to make sure clients feel heard, informed, and comfortable with the treatment plan moving forward.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session, I aim to establish a trusting, open relationship where the client feels comfortable sharing their concerns. My goal is to gather a comprehensive understanding of their mental health history, current symptoms, and any previous treatments. I want to ensure the client feels heard, informed, and involved in the creation of a tailored treatment plan. By the end of the session, I hope to clarify how medication management, along with any complementary approaches, can support their journey toward improved mental health and well-being.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
Before scheduling a first session, clients should know that I am dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care. I believe in building a collaborative relationship based on trust, where clients feel heard and supported throughout their journey. My approach integrates both medication management and holistic strategies, recognizing that mental health is multifaceted. I strive to empower clients by educating them about their treatment options and working together to create a plan that aligns with their goals for well-being.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
For fun, I love spending time outdoors—whether it’s relaxing at the beach, paddleboarding, running, or hiking. Being in nature helps me recharge and stay balanced. I enjoy exploring new trails and making the most of the beautiful weather, while also spending quality time with family.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
One thing that defines me is my love for the outdoors. Whether it's spending time at the beach, paddleboarding, running, or hiking, I feel a deep connection to nature. It’s a way for me to recharge, stay grounded, and find peace, and it also reflects my approach to life—active, balanced, and open to new experiences.
