My therapist has been incredibly patient, kind, professional, and willing to work with me through a lot of different issues. He introduced me to new therapy styles and using one modality in particular has been absolutely critical to my success. He's been flexible and accommodating with schedule changes and using zoom when needed, in addition to being professional and always ensuring I have what I need to help myself. I can't recommend Thriveworks enough!

Get to know Andrew

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

I have always enjoyed helping people, and from a young age was told I was good listener. I feel that I am able to make the most meaningful impact in the world through my individual connections with people.

What types of clients do you work with best?

Motivated clients that enjoy mixing in laughter to every conversation, but aren't afraid to be challenged.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

I love working with someone that has never tried therapy and offering them an opportunity to create a positive and meaningful therapeutic experience.

What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?

We all have problems! No one is perfect and an essential part of the healing process is being able to lean into our problems and challenges, and accept them for what they are, rather than fearing vulnerability.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

I spend the first session trying to genuinely understand your presenting situation from your perspective and experience. I try to always provide at least one point of reflection to consider or specific homework/task to work on before our next meeting.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

First and foremost, I spend time with my family, whether it be playing a game, eating dinner together, or watching a move. I love spending time outdoors - walk, hiking, biking, or working in the yard or a house project.
