Why did you decide to become a counselor?

Choosing to become a counselor was a deeply personal and purpose-driven decision for me. Throughout my life, I have witnessed the transformative power of therapy and experienced firsthand the profound impact it can have on one's well-being. Guided by a genuine passion for helping others, I felt called to dedicate my career to supporting individuals on their journeys of healing and self-discovery. Witnessing the resilience and strength within each person I work with fuels my motivation to create a safe and empathetic space where they can explore their emotions, overcome challenges, and achieve personal growth. It is my firm belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life, and I am honored to be a part of their transformative process. I am dedicated to empowering my clients and walking alongside them as they navigate their unique paths towards greater well-being and self-fulfillment.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I work best with clients who are committed to personal growth, ready to navigate life's challenges, and motivated to make positive changes. Regardless of background or identity, I provide support, guidance, and a listening ear on this transformative journey.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

I am most excited to work with young adults and children who are navigating the complexities of their formative years. Supporting young adults in their transition to adulthood, helping them discover their identities, and addressing challenges such as career exploration, academic pressures, and relationship dynamics brings me immense joy. Similarly, working with children allows me to foster their emotional well-being, provide a safe space for expression, and assist them in building resilience and coping skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. Witnessing the growth and resilience of young minds is truly rewarding, and I am passionate about guiding them towards a brighter and more fulfilling future.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

One thing I wish all clients knew is that they are not alone in their struggles. Seeking support and therapy is a courageous step towards growth and well-being, and together, we can navigate challenges, discover insights, and cultivate positive change.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

I chose to be a therapist at Thriveworks because of their commitment to providing exceptional care and support to clients. Thriveworks' emphasis on professionalism, evidence-based practices, and creating a welcoming environment aligns with my values and allows me to deliver the highest standard of care to those seeking therapy.

What inspires you?

As a therapist, I am deeply inspired by witnessing the resilience and transformation of my clients. Seeing individuals overcome challenges, gain self-awareness, and achieve personal growth is a constant source of inspiration for me

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

In the first session with me, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they can openly share their concerns and goals. We will engage in a collaborative discussion to gain a deeper understanding of their background, current challenges, and aspirations. Together, we will establish a therapeutic relationship built on trust, confidentiality, and mutual respect. Clients can expect to be heard, validated, and supported as we begin the journey towards their desired outcomes.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

In the first session, my goal is to establish trust, create a safe space for open dialogue, and gain a comprehensive understanding of your concerns and goals. Together, we will develop a tailored treatment plan to support your progress and set the stage for a collaborative therapeutic journey.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?

Clients should know that I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space for them to explore their concerns.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I have fun in a variety of activities. I love playing golf and tennis with my husband. I also cherish moments spent hiking with my senior dog Cali, exploring nature. Traveling is another passion of mine, as it allows me to immerse myself in new experiences and cultures. Additionally, I find great happiness in spending quality time with my family and visiting friends in other states.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

One thing about me that defines me outside of my professional life is my innate nature as an Enneagram 2, which shapes my deep desire to help others, my abundance of empathy, and my commitment to being non-judgmental. These qualities drive my personal interactions, relationships, and actions, and are fundamental aspects of who I am as a person.
