About Zaria
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. I have experience working with clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions, and I also offer faith-based counseling for those seeking to integrate their spiritual beliefs into the healing process. I typically work with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained and are looking for support, coping skills, and a deeper understanding. Together, we focus on building resilience, improving emotional well-being, and helping you move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
My approach combines evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a strengths-based and faith-informed perspective when desired. I help clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief by building practical coping skills, increasing self-awareness, and processing difficult experiences at a pace that feels safe.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start, you don't have to go through it alone—healing and change are possible with the right support. I'm here to walk alongside you, and when you're ready, I invite you to take that next step toward the life and peace you deserve.

"As a therapist, I create a compassionate, safe space where you can feel truly heard while we work together to navigate healing and growth."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because I’ve always felt called to support others through life’s most difficult and vulnerable moments. I’m deeply passionate about creating a space where people feel truly seen and heard, especially during times of anxiety, grief, or uncertainty. Through both personal insight and professional training, I’ve seen how powerful it can be to have the right support, and I wanted to be that steady presence for others as they heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with individuals who are ready to explore their thoughts and emotions and are open to growth, even if they feel unsure where to begin. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or major life transitions and may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. I also work well with those who value a collaborative approach and are interested in building coping skills, gaining insight, and, if desired, incorporating faith into their healing journey.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that healing isn’t linear—progress can feel slow, messy, and sometimes uncomfortable, but that doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you; it’s about understanding yourself, building new tools, and creating meaningful, lasting change at your own pace.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming space where we focus on getting to know you—your story, what’s bringing you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from the process. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and goals, while also giving you space to share at your own pace. In the early stages of therapy, we’ll begin building trust, identifying patterns, and developing practical tools to help you feel more supported and grounded, all while moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is grounded in values of authenticity, and respect for each person’s unique story. I believe that everyone deserves a space where they feel safe, heard, and understood without judgment. My faith also plays an important role in how I view healing, offering a lens of hope, grace, and purpose that I integrate when it aligns with a client’s beliefs. I’m deeply committed to meeting clients where they are, honoring their experiences, and walking alongside them as they navigate challenges and move toward growth and healing.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by taking the time to truly understand each client’s story, goals, strengths, and challenges, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw from evidence-based methods like CBT, while also incorporating a strengthsbased and faith-informed perspective when it aligns with your values. Together, we create a personalized plan that fits your pace, comfort level, and what you’re hoping to achieve, adjusting along the way to ensure therapy feels supportive, relevant, and effective for you.
