About LaToya
As a licensed therapist with six years of experience, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating complex life transitions, emotional challenges, and personal growth. My practice centers on helping clients develop resilience, self-understanding, and effective coping strategies across various life domains. I bring a compassionate, culturally responsive approach to therapy, with expertise in addressing depression, anxiety, stress, family dynamics, and grief. My work is particularly focused on supporting individuals through workplace challenges, military and veteran experiences, multicultural concerns, and blended family systems.
My therapeutic style emphasizes self-love, meaningful communication, and helping clients discover their life purpose. I create a supportive environment where individuals can explore personal challenges, develop forgiveness, and build stronger, more authentic connections with themselves and others.
Drawing from evidence-based practices, I am committed to walking alongside my clients with empathy, respect, and genuine care. I understand that each person's journey is unique, and I strive to provide personalized support that honors individual experiences and strengths.

"As an LCSW I journey alongside each client throughout the therapeutic process. "
Get to know LaToya
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker because I am passionate about the human experience and mental health. In this life there are many things that arise for each of us and being a licensed therapist allows me to be able to assist others in navigating through the journey of life.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are either self-aware or desire to become more self-aware. Authenticity, integrity and honesty are also very important attributes of clients that I work best with.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish clients knew that needing or wanting mental health therapy does not mean that you are broken; it means that you are human and are just in need of extra support.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect me to set the foundation of a positive rapport and to begin to learn more about what is bringing the client into therapy at this time in their life.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe in person-inenvironment therapy and that simply means placing a person in context. None of us exist in a silo.
