About Erica
I'm a compassionate and nonjudgmental therapist committed to creating a safe and supportive environment. I have extensive experience working with trauma, domestic violence, PTSD, anger management, justice-involved populations, veterans, and first responders. My background in law enforcement, corrections, and mental health gives me firsthand insight into these professions' demands and culture. I understand the specific challenges you face, including traumatic exposure and occupational stress. I work collaboratively with you, believing meaningful progress occurs when you feel heard, understood, and empowered in your treatment.
My approach is grounded in client-centered and trauma-informed principles. I value collaboration, mutual respect, and authenticity. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, I develop goals reflecting your needs and values. I'm committed to honesty and transparency—if I don't have an answer, I'll seek resources to support your growth.
During our first session, I create a welcoming environment where you can share at your own pace. I'll learn about your background and what brought you here. We'll discuss your goals and develop a plan for your needs. Expect transparency and authenticity from me. By session's end, you'll have clarity on the process and know if we're a good fit.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I am fully aware that not every person attending therapy will be at the "stage" in their lives to change, however if I am able to help each person to think in a different manner without the person sacrificing their own beliefs then that truly is a "win for me."
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with older adolescents and adults young to middle aged adult. I further do work well with couples counseling.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish each client could know that every therapist is different and even though an induvial may have had a poor experience previously, there is another therapist who will take the time and assist the individual with their goals and treatment plan.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
The initial session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I will gather information about your background, current challenges, strengths, and what has brought you to therapy. We will discuss your goals, expectations, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. I believe that therapy should be individualized, so I work collaboratively with clients to identify goals that are meaningful and relevant to their unique circumstances rather than taking a one-sizefits-all approach.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My professional background in law enforcement, corrections, and mental health has provided me with firsthand insight into the demands and culture of these professions. This experience allows me to connect with clients from these backgrounds in a meaningful and authentic way while helping them navigate challenges related to trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress management, and personal growth. During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they are encouraged to share their concerns at a pace that feels comfortable to them. My primary goal is to begin building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, honesty, and mutual respect.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I believe that therapy should be individualized, so I work collaboratively with clients to identify goals that are meaningful and relevant to their unique circumstances rather than taking a one-sizefits-all approach.
