I am a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience in counseling and healthcare. My holistic approach looks at the social, emotional, spiritual, financial, and intellectual aspects of the whole person. I specialize in trauma-informed care, CBT, MI, reality therapy, bereavement counseling, and meeting people where they are. I believe it's important to understand where you've been, where you are, and where you're headed. I am an active listener, problem-solver, solution-focused, and supportive. I cannot walk this path for you, but I can walk it with you. I use measurement-based tools to improve outcomes.
Working together we can address trauma, abuse, neglect, PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship concerns, bullying, cultural bias, behavior change, and other issues where you may be feeling stuck. The goal of therapy is to implement change and move the therapeutic process to a more conducive way of life. I want you to THRIVE!
It would be an honor and a privilege to share time together, provide a safe environment, maintain a nonjudgmental attitude, and share in the therapeutic process for you to THRIVE! Feel free to book an appointment. I maintain extended hours, and I look forward to meeting you soon. Until then, take care.

"We all have a story to tell. It is my job to provide a nonjudgmental, safe environment for you to feel comfortable talking about difficult subjects. We all need a safe place to be honest and real, address concerns, explore potential solutions and resolve any barriers to change. Let’s work together to improve your quality of life and become empowered to be your best self."
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My father was a marriage and family therapist. I grew up learning about human behavior in the social environment. I have worked with many people from all different walks of life. I believe asking for help is the best thing anybody can do and that it takes great strength. I would love to hear your story, problem-solve the best solution and improve your quality of life. Feel free to contact me and I look forward to helping you THRIVE!
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with individuals who are motivated for change, actively engaged in therapy and interested in making lasting changes through the therapeutic process.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
The one thing I wish everyone knew about therapy is that the power is within you. Most behavior is learned, therefore behavior may be changed. That’s where your power lies.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
The very first session is focused on information gathering, Biological, psychological and social history gathering. Assessment of safety, suicidal ideation, sleep and appetite patterns, intimate partner violence, substance use, history of abuse or neglect, psychosis and past treatments. This is a very intensive, structured process and is the most complete “big picture” approach to best meet the needs presented for counseling.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I value honesty, integrity, willingness to learn, transparency and accountability. I recently spent quality time on a Navajo reservation in New Mexico, where I learned how important actively listening is in the therapeutic process.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy according to starting where the client is, learning about wants and needs, building trust and becoming a conduit for change to ensure success.
