What types of clients do you work with best?
I work with the "motivated" client best. This client may be experienced in the therapeutic process and is ready to reach another therapeutic goal with minimal reservations.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I like to gain the trust of the clients that are "on the fence" when it comes to going to therapy. I feel my down to earth, reality therapy approach lays the foundation to a successful therapeutic relationship.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish clients knew that their counselor encounter challenges as well and regularly seek therapeutic services too, like doctors seeking medical attention from another doctor. Alot of the recommendations shared comes from therapeutic framework but also the clinicians own life experience and of others whom they have witnessed.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
A client can expect to get to see and hear a professional therapist who has their best interest at hand. I will reiterate the necessary information and all of the necessary formalities to reassure the client as we go into the initial session. Then the client will have the remainder of the session to ask questions and share what ever they would like to share in a non-judgemental, HIPPA Compliant environment.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
My faith, integrity and loyalty governs how I live my life.
