About Danielle
Danielle Simon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts with 15 years of professional work treating various behavioral health disorders. Together, you will identify your behavioral health needs and learn strategies that work best to improve your mental health. She has a wide range of experience with disorders, including bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, and substance use disorders. Danielle earned a Master of Social Work in Mental Health from Boston College. She believes in treating everyone with respect and empathy.
Danielle has a person-centered approach focused on care, support, and treatment elements that matter most to you. She uses various treatment modalities: CBT, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, strength-based therapy, and couples therapy.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Personal struggles with own behavioral health needs.
What types of clients do you work with best?
18 years old to 65 and older.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
Those with PTSD and mood disorders.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
They are not alone; being gone through struggles myself there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Together, we will identify your challenges and goals - where you want your life to be and identify options and strategies that you can use to get there. You will leave the session with a better understanding of what you are facing and an "action I can take right now" approach.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Start building trust and rapport.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I take boxing classes and in training for a Charity called the Haymakers to raise money for cancer and go against an opponent. This takes place at MGM in Boston. I have learned so much from boxing that it is my self-care.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
Bohemian.
Can you tell us about a success you had with a client?
I worked with a client throughout his journey of sobriety and processed his trauma to reach a point of acceptance.
