About Rosalind

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Doctorate in Community Care and Counseling: Traumatology and six years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I specialize in supporting adolescents and adults as they navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, and trauma—concerns that often affect both personal well-being and relationships.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in unconditional positive regard—creating a space where you feel accepted, seen, and valued. To meet each person's needs, I draw from evidence-based approaches including Motivational Interviewing, CBT, REBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.

In our sessions, you can expect a collaborative and supportive environment where your goals guide our work. I view therapy as a process of growth and self-discovery—one that helps you unlock your potential, build resilience, and embrace change. My ultimate goal is to empower you to find meaning, healing, and fulfillment in your life.

Get to know Rosalind

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a counselor because I have always been passionate about helping people heal, grow, and recognize their worth beyond their circumstances. My journey began in education and expanded into counseling as I saw how emotional pain, trauma, and life experiences impact every area of a person’s life. I wanted to create a space where individuals could feel heard, supported, and empowered without judgment. As both a clinician and educator, I believe healing happens when people are given the tools, guidance, and encouragement to move toward healthier patterns and meaningful change. My background in counseling, leadership, and traumainformed care allows me to approach clients holistically—supporting the mind, emotions, relationships, and overall well-being. Counseling is more than a profession for me; it is a calling to help others restore hope, build resilience, and move forward with confidence and purpose.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with clients who are seeking support through life transitions, emotional challenges, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and issues related to self-worth or identity. I especially enjoy working with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or unsure of how to move forward but are open to growth and healing. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and goal-oriented. I strive to create a supportive environment where clients feel safe to be honest, explore difficult experiences, and develop practical tools for lasting change. I also work well with clients who appreciate a holistic approach that considers emotional, relational, and personal well-being while focusing on resilience, empowerment, and meaningful progress.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

One thing I wish all clients knew is that healing is not always linear, and progress does not mean perfection. There are moments of growth, setbacks, breakthroughs, and difficult seasons, all of which can be part of the healing process. Therapy is not about “fixing” who you are—it is about gaining insight, developing healthier patterns, processing experiences, and learning how to navigate life with greater confidence and self-awareness.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they can begin sharing their story at their own pace. During the first session, we will discuss what brought them to therapy, current concerns, personal history, strengths, and the goals they hope to achieve. My priority is helping clients feel comfortable, heard, and respected while beginning to build a strong therapeutic relationship. In the early stages of therapy, we focus on understanding patterns, identifying challenges, and developing a collaborative treatment plan tailored to the client’s needs and goals. I also work to provide practical tools and coping strategies that clients can begin applying in daily life.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider

My experiences in education, counseling, leadership, and community service have allowed me to work with individuals and families from diverse walks of life, which has strengthened my understanding of resilience, trauma, and the importance of compassionate support. I value authenticity, empathy, integrity, and creating a safe space where clients can be honest without fear of judgment. I also believe in treating the whole person by recognizing the connection between emotional, relational, mental, and personal well-being.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

Every client comes with different life experiences, personalities, strengths, challenges, and goals, so I tailor therapy by first taking time to truly understand each person’s unique story, needs, and desired outcomes. I use a collaborative approach to develop treatment goals and adjust interventions based on what is most effective and meaningful for the client.
