About Olivia
I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with 2 years of experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related challenges. I work best with clients ready to invest in their emotional well-being, build healthier coping skills, and take steps toward lasting growth. My approach is warm, genuine, and collaborative, and I strive to create a space where you feel fully seen, heard, and supported as we work toward balance and healing together.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. My approach draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I tailor each session to meet your individual needs, helping you identify strengths and develop practical strategies to foster confidence and resilience.
At the heart of my work is empathy and authentic connection. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, or life transitions, I’m here to walk beside you. Together, we’ll uncover the tools you already have within you to build a more fulfilling, balanced life.. I’m here to help you rediscover your strength every step of the way.

"I know how hard it can be to put yourself first, but I believe real growth starts when you permit yourself to slow down, show up honestly, and do the work, and I’m here to walk beside you through that process."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I’ve always been drawn to understanding people, their stories, emotions, and the strength it takes to keep going when life feels heavy. Over time, I saw how powerful it can be to have someone truly listen without judgment and help you make sense of what you’re feeling. That inspired me to be that person for others. Counseling allows me to combine empathy, curiosity, and purpose to help people find healing, self-acceptance, and hope.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are ready to invest in themselves and take an active role in their healing. You don’t need to have everything figured out, just a willingness to show up and try. I connect well with individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or major life transitions, and who want to better understand themselves and build healthier patterns. I especially enjoy working with clients who are open to self-reflection and ready to make their mental health a priority even on the hard days.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Healing doesn't always look a specific way; some days it looks like big steps forward, and other days it’s simply doing your best to keep going, and that’s okay.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, clients can expect a comfortable, judgment-free space where we’ll start getting to know each other. I’ll take time to learn about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. We’ll talk through what you’d like to focus on and set the foundation for a plan that feels realistic and tailored to your needs.
In the early stages of therapy, we’ll work on building trust and understanding your unique experiences. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered as we begin unpacking challenges at your own pace. Progress may take time, but each step is part of your healing journey, and we’ll walk it together.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My life experiences have led me to the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued, especially during life’s most challenging moments. I’ve learned that growth often comes from compassion, patience, and the courage to be honest with ourselves. These values guide how I show up for my clients: with empathy, authenticity, and a genuine desire to help them reconnect with their strengths. I also believe that healing doesn’t look the same for everyone, and I honor each person’s journey as uniquely their own.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I believe every client’s story is unique, so I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I take time to understand your background, personality, and goals so we can find what works best for you. While I often use tools from CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy, I adjust my style depending on your needs, whether that means offering more structure, space for reflection, or practical coping strategies. My goal is to meet you where you are, at your pace, and create a plan that feels supportive, realistic, and empowering.
