About Seher
Seher Jangda is a bilingual (English/Urdu) Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has over 7 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. She specializes in anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, child therapy, poor coping skills, divorce, and domestic abuse.
Seher received her Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She enjoys working with people from all walks of life, however, she has specialized training and experience in helping trauma survivors as well as victims of domestic violence. Seher often uses a mindfulness approach in helping her clients overcome stress, anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I used to be a teacher. When I was teaching, I noticed that kids had so many other issues that hindered them from learning. That motivated me to become a counselor.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited to work with clients from all stages of life.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
There’s nothing wrong with you if you choose to go to counseling. It can only help you.

Helping people inspires me.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
The first session is a formal get to know you session and interview session to understand what bought you to counseling to begin with.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
To grasp an understanding of what they would like to work on and accomplish during treatment and how I can help them.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I like to watch tv, movies, and read books.
