Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I always knew I wanted to help others just never knew what that meant. I found my passion in psychology and as I grew in my own life journey it was clear I was meant to be a counselor.
What types of clients do you work with best?
Wide variety! My only request is you’re motivated and we will do great! Due to my background I have not found a “specialty” and I don’t mind that. I enjoy working with a variety of people with unique backgrounds.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
Motivated! I love helping individuals who are eager to make changes. If you’re ready for change I’m your person.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I’m well rounded you could catch me inside binging Netflix, outside mountain biking or hiking, on a soccer field, or reading.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
The ability to work with the clients I can best help! I’m excited for us to pick each other as teammates.
What inspires you?
My 3 F’s. Faith, family, and future.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Safe space to open up but be challenged to discuss goals and how to achieve those.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
All their personal goals and establish therapeutic goals. What’s our next step?
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
I’m a firm believer in being uncomfortable temporarily in order to grow and create resiliency.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Play soccer, hike, mountain bike, travel, and be with my family. Of course, I enjoy binging sitcoms too.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
Integrity. My dad used to always say “what’s your integrity worth?”
