About Chris
Hello, my name is Chris Wall. I started my career as a mental health counselor before transitioning into my current area of practice as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), where I have worked for the last 14 years. In my years as a PMHNP, I have worked with all manner of clients and all forms of diagnosis. I understand the challenges we face, and many times psychiatric medications can be of great benefit—whether as a long-term or short-term solution.
As a PMHNP, I enjoy asking questions with an open-ended approach, giving my clients the freedom to express in their own words what symptomatology they may be struggling with. I develop individualized treatment plans to address specific client needs, and I look forward to delivering quality care through accurate diagnosis and evidence-based treatment.
I commend you for taking these steps to help and heal yourself. I would be happy to play at least a small part in this journey. If you would like to schedule an appointment, we will work together on any goals you may have. Thanks!

"I look forward to utilizing my years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and as a Counselor as we work together in finding the correct regimen to help you be your best self. "

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I made the decision to become a psychiatric provider to be of benefit to others. It is an overwhelmingly fantastic feeling to work together with a client in finding a responsible medication regimen that has a client making positive gains and movements in their life.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I have worked with all manner of clients with all forms of diagnosis. When clients have the willingness to schedule the appointment I feel that they are already on the path to helping themselves. I work well with those clients that desire to continue on that path to better mental health and allow me to be at least a small part on that journey.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
It can take a little work, you are not alone.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first psychiatric session we will look at the symptoms that we can target for improvement. We will do this via some specific questions but also open ended questions in getting to know my clients in tailoring a pharmacological treatment plan to best meet their needs.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
As we move through this life we all have our hardships, our struggles. We have those friends we were able to help, some we wish we could have helped more. It's just an honor to be of benefit to others, on that journey, that path to better mental health.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
As a psychiatric provider I do utilize my counseling background to provide a supportive environment be whatever symptomology that we are treating via medication options.
