About Judith
I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 2 years of experience providing comprehensive mental health care to adults. I specialize in treating trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, mood instability, and psychotic disorders. My clinical background includes work in hospital, outpatient, and correctional psychiatry settings, where I support individuals navigating complex mental health challenges and limited support systems.
I earned my master’s degree in nursing from Regis College. My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-focused. I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and supported while using evidence-based strategies to promote emotional balance, stability, and long-term healing.
I am here to support you with compassion, clarity, and respect as you work toward healing and personal growth. Together, we will build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and move forward with confidence toward meaningful and lasting change.

"With years of experience supporting people through their most challenging times, I offer a calm, grounding presence. My commitment is to help you feel safe, understood, and empowered at every step."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My decision to become a psychiatric provider stems from witnessing firsthand, growing up, how mental health challenges were brushed aside and misunderstood within my community due to stigma and ingrained cultural beliefs.
These experiences motivated me to pursue this field. I want to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and ensure that individuals, especially those from underserved communities, receive support when they need it. My goal is to create pathways to early intervention, understanding, and healing for every person I serve.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who value collaboration and are open to exploring their challenges at a comfortable pace. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds and focus on meeting each person where they are, providing compassionate, respectful, evidence-based care.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish all clients knew that healing is not about being perfect; it’s about showing up for yourself, taking small steps forward, and trusting that change is possible even when it feels slow.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, clients are partners, engaged in an open, purposeful dialogue that emphasises their essential role in shaping our work. I use a client-focused process to explore concerns, goals, and history at the client’s preferred pace. Early in therapy, our primary focus is to collaboratively develop a plan tailored to each person, combining psychoeducation and caring support to create a treatment strategy that truly fits their needs.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is grounded in compassion and respect for cultural and spiritual diversity. I have extensive experience supporting individuals facing significant emotional, social, and life challenges. These core values inspire me to meet each person with empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to their healing journey.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by taking the time to understand each client’s unique background, strengths, and goals. Together, we collaborate to create a personalized treatment plan that integrates evidence-based approaches, cultural awareness, and supportive guidance tailored to your individual journey.
