Hello, my name is Sarah and I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I take a holistic, patient-centered approach to care. My goal is to empower clients by creating a supportive, stigma-free environment where individuals feel heard and respected. I utilize evidence-based guidelines alongside compassionate listening, collaborating closely with each client to develop an individualized treatment plan incorporating medication management, psychotherapy, and lifestyle modifications.

I believe in a collaborative, patient-centered approach to mental wellness. My clinical focus is mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and PTSD. I integrate careful medication management with therapeutic support, ensuring that each treatment plan is tailored to the individual's unique biological, psychological, and lifestyle needs.

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where we can work as a team to understand what you're going through. You are the expert on your own life, and together, we'll find the best tools and treatment plan to help you feel your best.

"With 16 years of nursing experience at my core, I blend advanced psychiatric expertise with the deep, holistic care that time as a nurse has instilled and prioritizes listening first, treating the whole person, and walking alongside my patients on their path to mental wellness."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

My path to becoming a PMHNP is rooted in personal history. Having witnessed loved ones attempt to navigate the complexities of mental illness, I experienced firsthand the critical difference that empathetic, evidencebased care makes. This intimate understanding of the patient and family perspective drives my practice today, inspiring my dedication to delivering accessible, high-quality psychiatric care with deep clinical empathy.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

If there is one thing I wish every client knew, it is that healing is not a straight line. Setbacks are not failures, they are a normal, necessary aspect of growth.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

During the first session, a structured conversation will allow me to get to know you and gather information and pieces of your history to form an accurate clinical picture. We will discuss what wellness looks like for you and options, which may include lifestyle changes, therapy recommendations, or starting a medication.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

Tailoring care means meeting clients exactly where they are, without a rigid agenda. I view each individual through a holistic lens, taking into account their unique cultural background, career stressors, family dynamics, and lifestyle habits. I adapt my goals and interventions to align with each client's personal values and identity.
