need help for my child he sees and hears things that just are not real. He is 31 and really needs some help. He hid this well with anger when he was growing up But now he’s just so paranoid of us his family we can’t get through the day without being accused of poisoning his food…possessing children’s bodies. Or being the walking dead she’ll us please
Your son’s symptoms seem severe which will most likely continue to escalate without treatment. What is often difficult is that the person suffering these symptoms also suffer from poor judgement and is not likely to seek help. However, if you can establish a sense of trust with him, he may agree to seek help with you. I have had parents attend a first session with their adult son or daughter with their adult child’s permission. The adult child then continued with individual therapy. I hope you are able to seek out and schedule an appointment with a licensed therapist near you.
