If someone if battling with depression for a long time, can that experience on it’s own create PTSD?

The answer to this question is multifaceted. PTSD and depression often cooccur, stemming from traumatic events an individual has experienced. However, symptoms of PTSD can be so difficult to endure that they lead to depression as well. If you think you might have PTSD or depression or both, consider speaking to a professional. They can diagnose you and also help you work on treating the disorder(s).
