Hi! I’m Dr. Blythe TwoSisters and I’m known as the funky house call therapist. I’ve spent the last 4 years offering therapy via the web to mamas that couldn’t get the support they needed to attend sessions in person. Since relocating to Houston, I’ve added an in office option for mama’s that need a place to get support. I offer therapy for pregnant women, mothers and women that are trying to or have tried to no avail to get or stay pregnant. These issues can cause a strain on a couple’s relationship, so I offer couple’s counseling as well for these and other issues.
I completed a doctorate in clinical psychology and am a certified perinatal mood and anxiety specialist. I have worked with traumatic brain injury patients and those suffering from PTSD. I also have supported those with chronic pain, depression, anxiety and low self-esteem.

Not sure what you need, no problem. Let’s just start by talking and see if I can help you figure out a place to start. Together we can develop a plan for feeling better and stronger and making good solid choices.

I have experience working with individual, couples, children, adolescents, and divorcees in various setting, including religious. For nearly ten years I served as a parent educator at the Escape Family Resource Center, a counselor at a community college, and the head of a Family Life Task Force.

I have also partnered with the City of Houston to offer marriage and family services to the southeast community. Currently, I’m in private practice. In all my work I have learned the value of reserving judgment, listening carefully and following the client’s lead; as well as, slow and carefully to make an assessment. My strengths are individual, parenting and couples issues; however, I work with clients that present various issues to include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, PTSD and mood disorders. I believe that therapy is an effective intervention for mental health; yet, there are times, temporary medications coupled with therapy benefits a client psychological health.

I work with most population to include, adults, children and adolescents using a Collaborative Team, or other therapists, if the client agrees, who make observation and offer other perspectives in session to the client about the presenting challenge.

I’m a Marriage and Family Therapists trained in the US, and have a strong interest in cultural
and family dynamics and like to explore the influence on the client.

A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and a nationally-certified counselor (NBCC), Suzanne Hornbuckle has worked with people of all ages and in every walk of life. As a student of the human personality all of her life, she presented and published her research on behavioral inhibition at Oxford University.

Suzanne has a basis that is quite simple—people are intelligent about what their needs and wants are, but they have difficulties and issues that may cause them to struggle for a while. That is why she begins therapy with a client-focused theory that stresses respect for the wants and needs of the client. This is followed by other approaches and used as necessary. She provides an instance of this: “When we age, many times we lose the “inner voice” or insight of the unconscious mind. Hypnosis, dream analysis, art therapy and other approaches can open the roadblocks that cover the heart’s real wishes.” Although many clients respond effectively to this approach, some people may find more success with a more Cognitive Behavioral-typeTherapy.

With other people, using a family systems angle may be the best treatment. An advocate of family therapy, Suzanne sees each individual in the framework of his past or present environment—this is particularly true of the family environment. Suzanne believes the main reason people seek therapy is to restore or enhance relationships. She incorporates all of these approaches and other in therapy to help clients find more enjoyment, love and capabilities into their relationships.
